Artist’s Statement

M.E.V. Franasiak’s work challenges visual and conceptual boundaries in an aim to escort audiences into neutralized spaces of undetermined situations.  In these places, open-ended stories unfold and repeat. Characters emerge and are vanquished. By blending absurd theatrics and flattened expressive presentations, Franasiak invites the audience to examine social and psychological arenas with less apprehension, more humor, and a call for action.
